Pattern and Texture Pending

What would life be without Pattern? Could you imagine a world full of colors but not having a single pattern? Can we agree that pattern add variety to an otherwise flat plain world, or in the scope of our discussion, room?
We've just recently uploaded an article on how you could inject pattern into your room, by mixing and matching. In general, small patterns in soft, light and muted colors are easy to mix and match. Large patterns in bright colors however, have bigger impact. Check out the detailed suggestions on pattern.
Now, is pattern enough? Have we forgotten about Texture? Texture gives definition and life to spaces and colors in a room. Grouping fabrics, furnitures or even art displays of similar colors but varying in textures, will produce a significant impact. Generally, rougher texture emphasize character. Sleeky, shiny texture adds sophistication. Find out how to incorporate texture into your room.
